Arnie has a special place in the hearts of volunteers at FWAAA. He is our ambassador for our Broken Hearts Club, and from the immense loss we felt upon his passing from Heartworm Disease complications, we've given rise to a special grant in his honor.
This grant will be used throughout the year to help those in financial need provide basic preventative care for their pets, fix fencing to keep strays at home, provide spay/neuter assistance and of course, provide heartworm treatment to dogs that would otherwise suffer from the side effects of the disease. Our goal is to educate the public in a compassionate and caring way on how to provide preventative care and to keep dogs out of shelters by keeping them at home.
